2021 MEPRA Board Nominees Announced

MEPRA members are invited to attend the 2021 Virtual MEPRA Annual General Meeting to meet this year's nominees for the Strategy Board and Executive Board. You will be asked to vote online during the meeting for members to stand on the MEPRA Strategy Board for the next two years. Executive Board nominees will be voted for by the Strategy Board. Results will be announced during the event.

Once elected, the new Strategy Board and Executive Board members will work closely with MEPRA staff to drive key initiatives for the communications industry in our region for the next two years. During the AGM, MEPRA Chair, Taryam Al Subaihi and Treasurer Mazen Nahawi will also deliver a presentation on MEPRA's performance in 2020 and talk through the 2021 strategy and activity plan for the year ahead.

About the Boards

 

MEPRA Executive Board The MEPRA Executive Board takes on an operational role of MEPRA and will work closely with MEPRA staff to implement initiatives throughout the year. This board is the decision-making body of the Association, comprised of a Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary plus a small group of Executive Directors. An Executive Board Member will be committing to twelve meetings per year plus time allocated for sub committee planning, projects and industry social events.Executive Board positions available for nomination in 2020 include:

  • Executive Director(s): x 3
  • Secretary x 1

MEPRA Strategy Board The MEPRA Strategy Board serves as an advisory body to the Executive Board and will help identify and shape the strategy for MEPRA moving forward, particularly around our major initiatives and events. A Strategy Board Member will be committing to four meetings per year plus time allocated for sub committee planning, projects and industry social events.

  • Number of positions available: Unlimited

By committing themselves as a MEPRA board member, candidates will be working towards an industry collective goal to:Raise awareness and build understanding of communications in the Middle East, both as a profession and as a driver of organisational reputation. We do so by promoting industry standards, sharing knowledge, thought leadership and building the capabilities of professionals in the region.
