YouTube organized a global online event last month, celebrating the spirit of Ramadan in Saudi Arabia during the lockdown. 7 of YouTube’s biggest influencers broke the Guinness World Records title for most viewers for an Iftar YouTube live stream. With over 45M+ subscribers combined invited, the livestream began on 19 May 2020 Iftar time (sunset time), breaking the world record with 183,544 concurrent viewers. An Official Adjudicator was present to announce them as the new record-holders on the popular streaming channel.

The YouTube video later saw a further 6M+ views making it the #1 trending video! You can see the hour-long video yourself here.
